The above website is well worth a visit.

It is also a good link to other sights in Florence.

The Capella dei Magi is a room in the Pitti Palace where the walls are frescoed with a cycle of paintings by Benozzo Gozzoli (c1421 - 1497 ).

The frescoes are a "who`s who" in the Renaissance.

Depicted amongst others are: Cosimo il Vecchio, Piero il Gottoso,Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta, Lord of Rimini, Galeazzo Maria Sforza, Duke of Pavia and later Milan, Bennozo Gozzoli, Lorenzo de'Medici (il Magnifico), Eastern Emperor John VIII Palaeologus (1390 - 1448), and in a very small part, Pius II.
